Public Health Departments
Overview
There are three Public Health Departments (Los Angeles County Public Health, Long Beach Health & Human Services, and Pasadena Public Health Department) that operate within Los Angeles County. However, the Los Angeles County Public Health Department does not have jurisdiction within the cities of Long Beach and Pasadena. All three public health departments maintain a collaborative relationship to facilitate the mission of improving the general health and wellbeing of the population.
